Who is she?
Melinda Warren started the Halliwell/Warren line. She had the powers of telekinesis, premonition and temporal stasis, which are the Charmed One's powers. She was burnt at the stake but didn't use her powers to save herself to save the life of her daughter Prudence. She began the Book of Shadows and foresaw the birth of the Charmed Ones.

Who is she?
Penny was the Charmed Ones grandmother and is the Matriarch of the Halliwell Family. She was a powerful witch who had a disliking for men, despite being married four times. She raised Prudence, Piper and Phoebe after the death of her daughter, Patricia. She bound their powers and almost stripped them because she feared her granddaughters would be unable to work together, but she died before giving them the potion. She still comes back to help her granddaughters because being dead never stopped anyone in the Halliwell family!

Who is she?
Patty was the Charmed Ones mother. She married Victor Bennett and they had three daughters, Prudence, Piper and Phoebe, but her and Victor later divorced. Patty had a forbidden affair with her whitelighter, Sam, resulting in the birth of the first ever half-witch (Charmed One), half-whitelighter baby, Paige. Her and Sam were forced to put her up for adoption before the Elders found out and denied her other daughters their powers. Patty tragically died while trying to vanquish the water demon. She had froze Sam with her powers in order to save him, but was drowned from the inside by the demon.

Prudence Halliwell

Who is she?
Prue was the oldest of the Charmed Ones. She lost most of her childhood because she had to help raise her younger sisters, Piper and Phoebe. Prue was a strong witch and was protective of her sisters. She was determined and a powerful fighter. She did everything she could to protect the innocent, resulting in her death. She was killed by the Source's hit-man, Shax, and Leo was unable to heal her. Piper tried the best she could to bring Prue back, but Prue was destined to die.

Who is she?
Piper used to be the middle sister. She was always the peace maker between sisters Prue and Phoebe. Piper wasn't as strong as her sisters and only wanted a normal life, but after the death of her beloved sister Prue, Piper was forced to become the strong, oldest sister. She had trouble coping with Prue's death and it took her a while to warm to long-lost half sister Paige. Piper finally got the close-to-normal life she's craved when she had her two sons, Wyatt and Christopher with her whitelighter husband Leo. Because Piper and Leo were the first ever witch and whitelighter couple, they had an extremely powerful child which made things far from easy. Demons were forever trying to turn Wyatt evil and Leo had a break down after learning his former mentor and friend, Gideon, had tried to kill Piper and Leo's son. After Leo was turned mortal and their epic love was tested, Piper sadly lost Leo when her and her sisters had to suffer a loss to prepare themselves for the ultimate battle. Piper did everything she could to get her husband back, and after the ultimate battle, which left her sisters dead, she got him back. She then went through the pain of loosing him again when she changed the key event that killed her sisters, but finally they were reunited for good. They went on to have another child, Melinda.

Who is she?
Phoebe was the youngest sister. Her care-free attitude often caused arguments with her sister Prue but they soon grew closer. After Prue died Phoebe was forced to grow up and hold things together. She had to keep the peace between older sister Piper and new found baby sister Paige. Phoebe was in a rocky relationship with half demon, Cole Turner which has shaped Phoebe into who she is. They went through a lot to be together and Cole turned Phoebe evil but she finally realised her life was with her sisters as the protectors of the innocent. Phoebe had a lot of trouble with men after Cole and started losing faith in her powers when her premonitions of having a daughter didn't seem to be coming true. But then the Elders sent her Coop, but he wasn't to help her find love, it was so she would find him. They went on to marry and  have three daughters together.

Who is she?
Paige was put up for adoption as a baby but was adopted by a loving family. She never felt she fit in which caused her to rebel by smoking, drinking and partying hard. After her parents were tragically killed in a car crash, Paige changed her life and became a social workers assistant. She always felt she had a connection with the Halliwell Sisters but never imagined she, and the sisters, were the most powerful witches known as the Charmed Ones. She freaked out at first, but finally accepted her destiny. Paige then went on a major super-witch mission, but then decided she wanted a balance between witchcraft and a normal life. She met Henry, a parolee officer, and they married and a son and twin daughters.
