Quick Summary

Paige was the result of an affair between Patty, the Charmed Ones mother, and her whitelighter Sam Wilder, therefore making her Prue, Piper and Phoebe's half sister, and a Charmed One.

Patty and Sam gave Paige to Sister Agnes so that the elders would not find out, if they did Patty feared her daughters would lose their destiny of being Charmed Ones. When they gave her up  their one wish for Paige was that she be called a name beginning with "P".

Paige was adopted by Mr and Mrs Matthews and as a teenager she was rebellious, had problems with alcohol, smoked and bunked classes. After the death of her parents in a car crash which she escaped by unknowingly orbing, Paige decided to pack in her partying and change her ways. She then went on to become a social workers assistant.

After Prue was attacked and killed by the sources assassin Shax, Piper cast the spell "To Call A Lost Witch" but instead of returning beloved Prue, it called long lost half witch, half whitelighter Paige. Paige was drawn to Prue's funeral where she met the sisters, but when she shook hands with Phoebe, Phoebe got a premonition of Paige dieing at the hands of Shax. Paige left in a hurry and Phoebe tried to persuade Piper to help find Paige as she was their innocent, but Piper refused saying she no longer wanted to be a Charmed One, the Power of Three died with her sister Prue. So Phoebe went with Cole, hoping that a Charmed One and demon could save Paige. They hid in a building and watched as Paige appeared on P3's roof, then Shax appeared and attacked Paige, but to Phoebe, Cole's, and even Paige's surprise she orbed out of the way just in time. Phoebe and Cole returned to the manor to ask Leo about the whitelighter, only to discover the elders knew nothing of her. Piper summoned Grams to get answers when she remembered that Grams had said they will be "Charmed Again". Grams said that she was sworn to secrecy, but when they asked who, the voice of their mother replied, and she appeared. She and Grams explained about the love child, and how they had to keep Paige a secret for the sisters sakes. Then just as Phoebe was about to go searching for Paige, she turned up at the manor. When the three sisters were all together, the Power Of Three was restored, and they vanquished Shax, only for Paige to freak out and run away.

When Paige orbed a candle to herself, she had to accept she was a witch, but the Source tried to sway Paige towards evil, but the sisters managed to get her back. She then moved into the Manor with her sisters. At first Paige could only orb in and out when she panicked, but she soon learnt to orb at will. Paige quickly learnt to control her power, and began orbing to different rooms and places carrying passengers such as her sisters.

Although Piper and Phoebe accepted Paige as a fellow Charmed One and as their sister, Paige couldn't help but feel they wanted her to be like "super witch" Prue. Nevertheless Paige tried to be a full time witch, giving up her job as a social worker.

Paige struggled to find herself and took many temp jobs so that innocents could find her if she was needed. She longed to be free and use her magic without fear of exposure and consequence. Paige then saved Magic School after Gideon was killed and became the headmistress. But Paige felt like she was trapped in a world of magic and Leo took over.

Paige has finally found a balance between magic and the real world and met her now husband Henry while working undercover. He accepted her secret and they married.
